| The College Admission Fact Sheet |
Keep in mind a few of the following FACTS:
FACT: College costs will likely be the second largest expenditure most parents will make, second only to their home. Room, Board, and Tuition can easily run $150,000 to $200,000 for a four year school.
FACT: There are easily 200 great colleges and universities in this country and many abroad. It requires Professional College Admission Counseling to know how to match up the right school with the right student.
FACT: The majority of parents don’t know how to maximize their ability to acquire financial aid. Millions of dollars of aid goes unused each year because students and parents don’t have the time or knowledge to access those applications.
FACT: In the most competitive colleges the acceptance of a student most likely will hinge on the college essay, teacher recommendation, or the interview. Students need professional advice, role playing, and simulations with the college interview in order to be successful. Writing a college essay is not like writing any other piece of work. Writing a successful essay requires an understanding of strategies, writing style, and the audience that can only be acquired with Professional College Admissions Counseling.
FACT: Parents overpay tremendously for text taking services. It is difficult to “study” for the SAT or ACT. The tests are not designed for students to “short cut the ability to beat the test”. Therefore, we believe that 40-80 hour courses designed to assist students to raise their scores may be “overkill”. However, test taking methods will certainly help the student raise their test score. It is that intensive and directed teaching upon which Professional College Admission Counseling focuses.
