| Professional College Admissions Counseling |
The PCAC is an intensive one week workshop designed to assist students in starting and finishing their college application process. One of the most stressful and exhausting processes any student will under take is deciding where to apply, how to apply, and how to finance the college experience. Our seminars cover every aspect of the college application process. Students will be expected to do some outside of class writing to complete their essay. In one week we assure students they will leave this program with:
- A finished application
- An essay worthy of any college application
- A completed financial aid form ready to apply for scholarship, grants, and work study
- A thorough knowledge of which colleges best fit the student’s interest and abilities
- An ability to interview even in the most grueling situations
- A personal checklist and knowledge of how to make a successful college visit
- A mini course in advanced SAT/ACT test taking methods
- A thorough knowledge of the entire application process
This workshop will be held at the new Concordia University campus in northwest Austin, Texas at Highway 620 and Concordia University Blvd. Seminars start at 9 am and finish at 6 pm daily. Students will be given one hour for lunch and a short break in the afternoon. Students may bring their lunches, eat in the Concordia University student center, or leave campus with parental permission. We offer group seminars as well as individualized counseling.
Our staff is comprised of experienced college counselors and professionals who have worked in university admissions offices. We also schedule guest speakers with specialized knowledge in the intricate aspects of college admissions. Our staff members are outstanding teachers who will help students through the arduous and stress filled process of college admissions.
We believe parents will have a more enjoyable year with their high school senior knowing the college application process is over on August 1st.
